We compared a traditional open approach MI respect short-term readmission mortality using national dataset. METHODS: The National Cancer Database was queried patients who were diagnosed cT3b cT3c renal cell carcinoma from 2010-2016 underwent subsequent thrombectomy. Our primary outcomes length stay, readmission, mortality. secondary outcome included the trend utilization over time. RESULTS: 2265 met inclusion criteria analysis. Utilization ranged 9-16% between 2010 2016 approximately 11% cohort receiving (Figure 1). Compared cohort, surgery had higher rate disease (21% vs 13%), metastatic (27% 21%), lower income. approach, associated shorter stay (5.5 vs. 8 days). There no difference in 30-day or surgical approaches. Logistic regression not approach. Cox showed increased risk increasing age but CONCLUSIONS: treatment similar perioperative may provide decreased stay. Further research is necessary determine best role thrombus.
